Ancient Egypt Museum Trip

This week our Primary 4 class attended an Ancient Egypt workshop at the National Museum.
It was very enjoyable and the children recapped on what we had learned in Term 1.

We all enjoyed the activities and the displays that we saw along the way.
Here are some photos of what we did.

Ancient Egypt Showcase
We were delighted to welcome parents and carers into our classroom for our Ancient Egypt Showcase. We had a number of stations set up. We gave everyone an opportunity to dress up, look at jotters, see the children's art work, make ancient egypt irrigation tools and take the opportunity to work with the children on some fun activity sheets.
We hope that everyone enjoyed the afternoon.

Authors Live - Liz Pichon

Author and illustrator Liz Pichon was the focus of Authors Live and schools around Scotland were invited to explore the world of her well loved character, Tom Gates.

This event featured giggles, doodles and insight into the world of Tom; the expert doodler, comic story writer extraordinaire and all round loveable mischief maker.

We all got a chance to show doodle during her talk which inspired some to take it further.

Primary 4 Swimming

Congratulations to all who took part in the swimming at Dalry Swimming Pool during Term 1.
Everyone worked extremely hard and we are all very proud of them.

Fresh Veg
This term we had the opportunity to try our fresh veg in a few different ways.
All children received some carrots to bring home, we also had sliced carrot as a healthy snack and thanks to Mrs Denham, we also had some warm carrot soup.
We all enjoyed it and some even went back for seconds.

Glint of Gold

 A Glint of Gold

The Performing arts club of primary 4-7 children put on a fantastic show for the school and parents, depicting the life of an Egyptian Pharaoh (Tutankhamun), their beliefs and their society.

It was fantastic!!!! The performers were exquisite and as you can see from the pictures, P6 did a fantastic job in producing the scenery!!!!

Well done to all involved!!!!
